How Does the Evaluation Work?

At EdgeProp, the Evaluation is a one-step challenge designed to assess your ability to manage risk, demonstrate consistency, and grow an account under real-time futures market conditions. We value trader autonomy, which is why our evaluation is rule-based, transparent, and free of unnecessary stages or hidden conditions.

This article outlines everything you need to know before starting your evaluation.

Objectives for Evaluation Completion

  • Reach the profit target assigned to your account size
  • Avoid exceeding the trailing drawdown
  • Trade on at least 7 different calendar days
  • Respect all risk and trading rules, including contract limits
  • Avoid any activity that violates program integrity
No time limit: The evaluation ends once all conditions are successfully met.

Trailing Drawdown Explained

The trailing drawdown is a moving risk limit that adjusts upward as your account grows. If your balance ever falls to or below this level, the account is considered failed.

  • Starts at $47,500 on a $50K account
  • If balance rises to $51,000 → drawdown moves to $48,500
  • If later balance drops to $48,499 → account fails
The trailing drawdown never moves down — it only trails your highest balance.
