EdgeProp Evaluation Accounts – Rules, Parameters & Funding Process

This article provides a complete overview of how EdgeProp Evaluation Accounts operate. It explains the structure of the evaluation program, including account sizes, profit targets, trailing drawdown mechanics, position limits, trading requirements, and the transition process to funded accounts.

The purpose of the evaluation phase is to identify traders who demonstrate consistent performance, responsible risk management, and disciplined execution before granting access to a funded trading account.

Evaluation accounts operate in a simulated trading environment designed to evaluate trading performance, risk management discipline, and the trader's ability to operate within predefined risk parameters.

1. Evaluation Account Structure

EdgeProp provides multiple evaluation account sizes designed to accommodate different trading styles, risk tolerances, and position sizing strategies.

Each evaluation account includes the following parameters:

  • Starting Capital
  • Profit Target
  • Trailing Drawdown Threshold
  • Maximum Position Size
  • Monthly Evaluation Subscription Fee
Account Size Profit Target Trailing Drawdown Max Contracts Evaluation Fee
$50,000 $3,000 $2,500 10 (or 100 micros) $150
$75,000 $4,500 $3,000 11 (or 120 micros) $180
$100,000 $6,000 $3,500 15 (or 150 micros) $250
$150,000 $9,000 $4,500 20 (or 200 micros) $350
$200,000 $12,000 $6,000 20 (or 200 micros) $450

The evaluation fee is charged monthly and keeps the evaluation account active. Traders may continue trading as long as the subscription remains active and no rule violations occur.

2. Profit Target

The profit target represents the amount of profit required to successfully complete the evaluation phase.

Example – $200,000 Account

Starting Balance: $200,000

Profit Target: $12,000

Required Balance to Pass: $212,000

3. Minimum Trading Days

To ensure consistent market participation, traders must complete a minimum number of trading days before becoming eligible for funding.

  • Minimum of 7 trading days
  • Trading days do not need to be consecutive
  • No minimum number of trades per day
  • Trades must include real market exposure

4. Trailing Drawdown Threshold

The trailing drawdown threshold represents the minimum equity level that must be maintained during the evaluation.

Trailing Drawdown Threshold = Peak Equity − Drawdown Distance

The drawdown distance remains fixed depending on the selected account size.

5. Maximum Position Size

Maximum Position Size defines the maximum number of futures contracts that can be open simultaneously across all markets.

Example

✓ Allowed: 6 ES + 4 NQ = 10 contracts

✗ Not allowed: 6 ES + 6 NQ = 12 contracts

1 Standard Contract = 10 Micro Contracts

6. Funded Account Rules

After successfully completing the evaluation and passing the funding review, the account transitions into a Funded Account.

  • One-time activation fee: $80
  • Contract scaling begins at 50% of evaluation contract size
  • 40% consistency rule applies to funded accounts
  • Payout requests available every 5 trading days
Example: If total profits equal $5,000, the largest trading day may not exceed $2,000.

7. Risk Management Reminder

Violating the trailing drawdown threshold will immediately result in a failed evaluation account. Traders are responsible for monitoring account equity and open positions at all times.
