Scaling Plan
Do We Use a Scaling Plan?
No. EdgeProp does not impose a scaling plan in either the Evaluation or Funded phase.
Once your account is active, you may use the full allowed position size immediately — as defined by your account tier:
| Account Size | Max Contracts |
|---|---|
| $50,000 | 10 |
| $75,000 | 12 |
| $100,000 | 15 |
| $150,000 | 20 |
| $200,000 | 25 |
There are no incremental unlocks or staged scaling. You are allowed to trade the maximum number of contracts from day one.
Why We Recommend Gradual Scaling
While there are no restrictions, trading all contracts from the beginning is not recommended — especially if you’re still adjusting to the live market environment or new to our funding model.
Many account breaches happen because traders over-leverage too early, leading to fast drawdowns or large emotional swings.
Suggested Scaling Approach
To help you trade more consistently and preserve capital, we recommend the following:
- Start with 1–2 contracts, especially in your first 3–5 trading days
- Increase size only when:
- You’ve had at least 3 green days in a row
- Your Net P&L is above breakeven by 20% of your trailing drawdown range
- Always monitor position size relative to volatility:
- Use smaller size during news hours or volatile sessions
- Avoid overtrading or revenge trades with large size
Violation Warning
If you exceed the maximum allowed contract size based on your account tier (see table above), your account will be disqualified and flagged for review.
⚠️ Important: EdgeProp does not tolerate position size abuse. Our system monitors real-time trade volume and will flag violations automatically.
